THE MENTAL BATTLE
What is the mental battle? We all carry a voice inside our head, an internalization of the adults who brought us up. But what if that voice is doing no good to us, how do we change it?
“No matter what you do, you will have a lot of lonely times. You can lie to your family, you can lie to your friends. You can fool the world into realizing that way you didn’t win was because of some challenge that you had to face. But there’s one person you can never lie to. And that is the man in the mirror. You can never lie to the man in the mirror. Never.”
“For the rest of your life, the man in the mirror is going to look back at you and say: ‘You did not choose to go after your dreams.’ And you have to be okay with that.”
We are carrying a battle between our good and bad voice every day. The bad voice is practically an internal enemy which can affect every aspect of our lives, our self-esteem and our confidence, our performance, and accomplishments at work or school. It can stop us from going for our dream and to settle for an ordinary, easier way of living.
So make the right choice, face your fears and pursue your dreams. Don’t let the bad voice win over.
