Once your mindset changes, everything on the outside will change along with it.” -Steve Maraboli
People ask me why I work so hard and why I have this compassion to reach the top and be great. I respond by telling them, “I work insanely hard because people said I couldn’t do it”. When someone tells me I can’t do something, or that I’ll never achieve my goals and visions, I am determined to prove them wrong.
“I can’t do it” should not be a part of anyone’s vocabulary. Refuse to believe that things can’t be done. “Can’t” is a word used by people who are projecting their own fears out into the world. People who can’t see past their present limitations. Not taking into account that if they have the right mentality, they too can begin pursuing their dreams at a rapid pace.
It’s easy to make excuses for not doing something big and overwhelming rather than simply put one foot in front of the other and start making your dreams come true. And why do people do that? Probably because the fear of making a mistake, they fear failure and embarrassment. It’s totally normal to feel like this, but if you recognize that this fear of yours is just a passion emotion, you might be able to shift from fear to courage.
Mindset is everything. By simply making some minor adjustments to how you think and by removing your negative thoughts, you can make great steps towards your desired result. If you have a clear vision and you are willing to do the work, then anything is possible.
The difference between people who are successful and those who are not is an ability to bounce back from failure and doubts. If you believe you will fail, then you will fail. But if you believe that you will succeed, then you will. And whenever someone says “You can’t do it”, just give a smile back and say “Just because you can’t do it, doesn’t mean I can’t do it.
